Set up in-house design resource from scratch
Oversaw growth of Design Team from two initially to seven full time plus contractors as required
Creative lead across all internal work and external agency work
Recruited and managed staff and contractors

Purchased equipment and software for the team
Made the Design Team a key part of the business and the go to team for any creative thinking
Implemented and oversaw new brand role out for Lotto New Zealand master brand and all game products
Design team now the keepers of the Lotto NZ brand and guidelines
Sat on Lotto NZ team working with Retail Architects to design and Launch our first flagship store
Later redesigned and oversaw implementation of new look for flagship store

Worked in a variety of large agencies and small boutique companies
Worked across various projects as designer and builder
Used both retail and packaging knowledge on different projects
Worked on very large projects and smaller, one off jobs.

March 2002 – August 2012. Senior Creative/Art Director. Energi Design.
Hired as a Senior Mac Op for the critical Coca-Cola packaging account
Quickly progressed to Senior Creative working directly under the Creative Director
Worked extensively as lead designer on packaging and retail POS
Oversaw and produced mailers, brochures, vehicle graphics, store graphics and much more
Was key 'owner' of Coca-Cola and Cadbury accounts at different times
Oversaw projects from initial client brief and concept to finished art in studio.

October 2001 – March 2002. Freelance Designer/Mac OP. Auckland.
Emigrated from England to New Zealand in October 2001, working as a freelancer while settling in to Auckland.

August 2000 – October 2001. Designer. Illustrated London News Group.
Designed and produced a range of magazines as well as annual reports, adverts, brochures, presentations and marketing material.

February 1999 – July 2000. Travelling including freelance work in Sydney, Australia.
Travelled through India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and the USA, working as a freelancer while in Sydney.

June 1998 – January 1999. Designer. Age Communications.
Designed and produced a wide range of magazines and show guides working closely with editors, the managing director, clients and printers.

April 1998 – June 1998. Freelance including April 1998, Creative Manager. Tower Records.
Many varied freelance jobs including a spell at Tower Records to set up and run their inhouse art department producing all their marketing content.

October 1995 – April 1998. Designer. Eyetoeye.com.
Responsible for concept and production of work from Album Covers and Video Game packaging to books and International conference material.

July 1994 – October 1995. Designer. Academy Group Ltd.
Worked in conjunction with editors and the Creative Director to take high quality art and architecture books and magazines from concept to print.
