Testing 1.2.3. CD Sampler
With three of their biggest selling bands on tour at the same time, EMI wanted to take the opportunity to give away a sampler of other bands on their label to people who purchased any two of the touring bands CDs at the same time. It both promoted the bands that were on tour as well as introducing people to new music that they may not yet be familiar with. We used road imagery for the link to the touring bands and a name which played both on a touring bands sound check and also on the buy 2 get 1 free mechanic of the promotion.
